Eastern Nigeria

Eastern Nigeria is on the Gulf of Guinea. There are many wetlands. The Igbo are the largest ethnic group in this region. There are many different dialects of the Igbo language. The Igbo had tried to break away from Nigeria but they were not successful. People in the cities build their houses with bricks, and on stilts in swampier areas. They create masks for ceremonies. They have oil for a major industry.
